Review of Kim Kardashian's KKW Skin Perfecting Body Foundation - Better With It or Without It?

Hi, everyone! I am excited to announce that I finally had the chance to review Kim Kardashian’s KKW Skin Perfecting Body Foundation. This review has been much anticipated, due to the popularity of this product. Like all other KKW beauty product reviews, this body foundation has received a wide range of both praise and criticism. For $45, you can purchase a tube of KKW Skin Perfecting Body Foundation, and it comes in 7 different nude shades. KKW Beauty states that this foundation has a water-resistant, cream-based formula, and the website claims that it “works to blur imperfections, enhance skin tone, and provide a flawless finish for any look.” Curious to find out if this product holds true to its claims, I decided to try it for myself! Packaging 

The Skin Perfecting Body Foundation comes in plastic, nude-colored tube packaging, along with an application brush. The simple packaging design was expected, as fans have noticed that Kim Kardashian has been favoring simplistic, natural looks lately, both in her beauty and clothing products. For $45 dollars, and the surprisingly large amount of foundation inside the tube, I cannot complain about the packaging design. The plastic tubing is sturdy and easy to open and close. The application brush seems easy to use, as well, and similar to the tubing, it is not too complicated in design.  

  

Product 

Upon squeezing a small amount of the foundation onto the back of my hand, I noticed that it held a creamy consistency that it claimed to have. I lightly spread it in a circular motion with two fingers, and it had a velvety-creamlike texture. I applied more on another area on the same hand, and spread it using the application brush. Again, it had a velvety-creamlike texture, and using the brush did not affect its consistency. I then allowed the foundation to dry, which happened pretty quickly, in my opinion. Next, I tested its claims to be water-resistant. I ran the back of my hand under a stream of cold, warm, and then hot water. To my delight, it did not wash off (even after patting it dry)! That said, the product itself was true to its claims of having a cream-like formula and being water-resistant. 

  

Application 

I've watched Kim Kardashians make-up routine many times on Kim K's Instagram so I was ready to mimic her and feel like I was living the best life. I applied a sparing amount of the Skin Perfecting Body Foundation to my left leg, as the website states that only a small amount of the product is required to do its job. Then, I took the application brush, and spread it across my leg. I application brush was easy to use, and it its super soft bristles felt gentle gliding across my skin. As anticipated, the foundation spread smoothly and evenly, thanks to its velvety-creamlike texture that I described earlier. The application brush definitely came in handy, because I think trying to spread it with my hands would cause streaking and uneven coverage. After applying it to my entire leg, I allowed it to dry. Conclusion 

I took a picture of both of my legs, one with the product and one without, and the difference was surprising. The leg where I applied the foundation was much more even in skin tone, and it was obvious that the foundation did a decent job of covering some light bruising and other blemishes. I wore the foundation for about 8 hours, until it was time for me to shower and go to bed, and it held up nicely. It most likely could have lasted a few more hours, had I not used soap to wash it off. 

Overall, I would consider my review of KKW Beauty’s Skin Perfecting Body Foundation a positive experience! I recommend this product to anyone who 1. doesn’t mind splurging $45 on body foundation, 2. appreciates an easy application process, and 3. hopes to evenly cover up skin blemishes.  Thanks for reading :*
