A Day in the Life of Kim Kardashian's Instagram Routine - Impossible or Plausible?

As someone who struggles to post on Instagram even once a month, I am always amazed by the amount of content on Kim Kardashian’s Instagram. Though its obvious that Kim Kardashian has someone working for her and someone else responsible for posting about the daily life of Kim Kardashian, one still has to admit that the amount of different activities Kim manages to fit in a day is very impressive.

According to an article about Kim Kardashian’s daily routine I am especially confused how she finds time to fit all these extra activities in her day. It makes me wonder… Does Kim Kardashian just take photos to make it look like she is doing something fancy while really, she is just at home chilling? We all know that this is a common practice for some influencers, but I never would suspect Kim Kardashian of this until I logically tried to break it down. So as an experiment, I am going to try and post as much as Kim K for a day.

This involves some planning as I’m usually busy with homework and don’t participate in a wide variety of activities on the weekend. However, in the name of Kim Kardashian, I plan to get up early, apply make-up and do all the things I always say I’m going to do on the weekend. I’m also dragging along my boyfriend or better known as my photographer for the day.

The day is started at the farmer’s market. While this is something I usually enjoy when I actually make it, the pressure of finding the perfect place to take a picture was taking away some of the pleasure. Also, I’m usually one to judge people that take 20 minutes to get the perfect picture instead of just enjoying the moment so the first experience of trying to live life like Kim Kardashian was definitely a challenge that put me outside of my comfort zone. 

Next I was finally on my way to a pumpkin farm. This is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and what better time to do it than when I'm documenting my whole day. This is something that I would probably have taken pictures of anyways so this was a little more enjoyable overall, but I still spent longer than I normally would have to get the best picture.

I still have a few more pictures that I need to post for the day. So my next stop is to get some cute pics of my dog. Kim Kardashian is constantly posting pictures of her kids and my dog is my baby so I'm going to put the focus on him for a while. While I think my dog is the cutest, this was a challenge of its own to get a decent picture of my dog when he was behaving and the light hit him right. Honestly, I'm not sure which would be more difficult. Photographing one dog or four kids. It definitely took some patience and some bribing (I decided ice-cream was a good reward) but I finally got a great picture. 

To finish the day, I decided to do the ultimate Kim Kardashian routine and post a selfie. This was honestly the hardest photo to take because it is so easy to critique a close-up of one's face. I think the long day of photo taking and planning was getting to me as this was the last thing I wanted to be doing. However, I got dressed up in the Kim Kardashian fashion and posted a selfie, letting all of my followers that I had plans for the night. 

Assuming that Kim Kardashian actually takes the time to enjoy the daily activities that she is documenting I am impressed. I felt like I spent the day moving around and I was constantly planning and alert for the next photo opportunity. While Kim Kardashian does have a team working for her to help with all of this, she is also expected to have a greater amount and higher quality pictures and content for her massive amount of followers. After this day I am exhausted and definitely looking forward to tomorrow when I will be back to my normal routine of doing nothing and not posting on Instagram. I’m relieved that I was only living a day in the life of Kim Kardashian and not doing this daily. Kim Kardashian’s routine for Instagram is not meant for people who don’t have a whole team working behind them and I think my boyfriend agrees completely.
