A day in Kim Kardashian's Latex Life - Trend or Torture?

There's no doubt in my mind that Kim Kardashian is a trend setter, so color me unsurprised that in the first-ever fashion shoot for her virtual world, latex was her fabric of choice. From the black sweetheart bustier to the plunging hot pink bodycon dress, she was breaking out the latex and creating a buzz.
Kim Kardashian wears Latex bodysuit and dress in latest trend

When Kim K started showing up to events in latex dresses and bodysuits, everyone had their reviews on Kim Kardashian and reservations about if the look would catch on—it's shiny, rubbery, constraining, squeaky, and not particularly forgiving. How do I know these characteristics about latex? As always, I’m ready to try the latest and be like Kim Kardashian. Continue reading to learn more about my experience trying to wear a latex dress.
While I could have a whole separate post about the process of buying this product and the overwhelming amount of options, I doubt Kim K actually had to deal with that as she has stylists and assistants to worry about that for her. I’m just going to focus on what I assume is Kim Kardashians routine of getting into and wearing the latex or as I like to call it a sausage casing.
The first thing I noticed about the dress is the crinkling. I thought this would stop once I got the dress on and stretched out, but I continued to crinkle the entire time I wore the dress. This could have to do with the cheaper latex I wore or maybe Kim Kardashian just rocks the sound that I was cringing to. As for getting the dress on, I required help. This is at least a two-person job, and I’m assuming a whole team would be desirable. Luckily, I’m sure Kim K has just that. Getting the dress on took time, patience and some much-needed assistance.
The dress is on. I can barely move as the fabric doesn’t allow for it and I can say that I 100% feel like a sausage. The dress crinkles and I think it's making me walk funny. One would not be able to dance in this. All I can think about is the freedom of getting this dress off. In total, I think I had the dress on for 30 minutes. That was about all I could handle, and I needed to use the restroom (not possible without help). While this was an eye-opening experience, I don’t think it is one that I could do weekly to be like Kim Kardashian.
I still have some questions that I would love to answer about Kim Kardashians routine.
  1. How many people help you put on your latex outfits?
  1. How do you use the restroom?
  1. What is the average cost of your latex outfits? Does cost reduce crinkling?
I do have to admire Kim Kardashian and the confidence she must have to wear latex outfits. I felt ridiculous but one reason I really wanted to try this was because how flawless Kim K looked wearing all of her latex outfits. A day in the life of Kim Kardashian still amazes and complexes me but I still here to try the latest and give my honest reviews. Thanks for reading! :*
